Research lines and goals

The group develops its activities along the following thematic lines:

        • Modeling and simulation of deformable systems
        • Experimental Modal Analysis
        • Calibration of computational models
        • Modeling non-deterministic actions
        • Interaction and synchronization phenomena
        • Design and tuning of vibration mitigation devices
        • Sensorization, monitoring and evaluation techniques for structures

The group's objectives are the following:

        1. Carrying out quality research in its lines of specialization, including the corresponding dissemination activities at all levels (papers in indexed journals, presentations at conferences, patents and utility models)
        2. The recruitment and development of competitive research projects.
        3. Collaboration with other researchers, companies and organizations for the effective transfer of technology and qualified assistance.
        4. Specialized training in its lines of research, with orientation to both the university and business fields.

Research, transfer and training tasks are planned according to the following activities:

        • scientific-technological surveillance, including bibliographic reviews and study of the latest publications on the subject, attendance at conferences and reviewing manuscripts of other researchers, at the request of several publishers with which we collaborate.
        • recruitment of projects, including updating on competitive calls in which you can participate, both at the regional, national or international level. Multi-year planning thereof.
        • training and recruiting talent, including the completion of final projects in the field of structural dynamics, attendance at specialized courses and participation in calls for teaching staff and research staff in training..
        • control and monitoring of projects under development, along with the preparation of the corresponding justification reports.
        • transfer of technology and applied knowledge, at the demand of the business community, including work with high degrees of specialization and proposal of solutions susceptible to protection of industrial property.
